In an age overwhelmed by information we should view this as a crisis, because the ability to read, comprehend, and write—in other words, to organize information into knowledge—can be viewed as tantamount to a survival skill.

Introduction

Hello-
I am so thrilled to be going to camp this summer. It is my hope that my camping adventures will add new tools to my "instructional" backpack. While sitting fireside, I am interested in learning about digital storytelling and creating wikis with my counselors. In addition, socializing with my fellow campers will keep me active and motivated to complete this journey. After camp, I will be found either in my vegetable garden or my floaty-mattress on Lake Callahan.

    I like the idea of spending time on a floaty in a lake taking in the sun.... I am hoping to find some new tools to use for next year as well.
